I don’t know what happened to this year but the summer went gone so suddendly. Don’t make me wrong I am good with it: there is so point of being summer if I have to work in the office and I was pretty tired of 35+ degrees on my skin. Especially because I tend to not feel very well on the warm wheather.
So I finally went back on light up candles. I missed those smells so much.
Getting up to my wrap up of this month. I don’t think it wasn’t bad couting that I went back to 8hours+ of work and I had the time to reading only on my trip to work. So here we are..

This last month has been pretty incredible. I finally had two weeks off work and I had travel just a little bit: I went back to England — Liverpool, Manchester and Chester — I visited a friend who is doing an internship in Liverpool so we caught up, ate a bunch of food, laughed and traveled. I also went to visit one of my best friend to Naples, so I had a bit of sun on my skin.
When I am on a holiday I tend to not read that much this is because my holidays are always catching up or visiting some friends and it is a bit rude to read in front of someone, especially if you paied quite a sum for being there with them. So I read during my trip — flights and trains — and the few days that I have been at home. I had to say I am quiet proud of my wrap up of the month — even if I haven’t the time to write any reviews for the books that I read but they were so so GOOD!

This month book haul is a bit insane and mostly is because of YALC. Just with the book convention I went back home with 20 books and I left my house with just 4 books before the event. Plus I came back to England for a few days of holidays and I bought other 3 books: I can’t resist to Waterstone and the loneliness of the Airport. I am supposed to spend money at the airport especially when I am coming back to Italy. What am I supposed to do with pounds?

I don’t remember if I have already mentioned it here but this year I AM GOING TO YALC FOR MY FIRST TIME!!! WHAAAAAT??? Yes, I know I still don’t believe it! And it’s less than 40 days away so I am a bit all over the place. I have got my plane tickets and my event ticket (all three days, you all!). I already booked an hotel room (GO MONEY!) and I am already mentally planning a few places that I need to visit while in London.
I totally missed out last month wrap up and I was almost forgetting about this month but here I am. So April wasn’t actually a good month for me: mental and physical health have been an issue. Especially because my depression and anxiety increased too much with the “13 reasons why” releasing. (Click here to find out what I think about the show)
In addition I was in a reading slump and in a book buying ban. (YEAH, I KNOW).
But the good thing is that I won 50£ to spend on Wordery during a giveaway and I can’t wait to get the books I ordered. They pretty are amazing! Plus I also bought my YALC tickets for the all EVENT! It is my first time and I am freaking excited about this! (I also watched Beauty and the Beast in the theatre — FINALLY! — and I am so addicted with the soundtrack!)

This February went pretty good in reading term and I am proud of myself as I am reading a lot more than last year (for now!), I don’t think it’s only me but it is also the books I picked up they are remarkable I still haven’t read a 2 stars book nor I haven’t abandoned and labeled any as DNF.
I have read 6 books and a half this month! (WHAAAAAAAAT??!!) Plus I started and almost finished a new series — THIS IS MY GRISHA MONTH!
I partecipate at two book clubs #OWBOOKCLUB which theme of the month was FEMALE BADASS and Our Shared Shelf which book of the month (bi-month) was The Vagina Monologues by Eve Ensler.
Personally this was a pretty harsh month, I don’t react well at Valentine’s day especially when you are single and surrounded by couples and suffered of bad anxiety so I’ve been in several depression that week which was also anticipated for other stuff in the previously week and I have been able to get out of it the weekend of the Valentine’s week because I have such amazing friends who are able to make me laugh so hard.

I’m pretty much proud as I started the year — I’ve already bought 6 books + 3 e-books and received one e-arc which I read and review in the same month that I got it. *whaaaaaat!* I know! I have my mini-shelf where it’s landing my TBR that it’s actually yelling for pain and I’m pretty sure it is going in self-destruction mode so I am trying to give it a little relief. I am wondering for how long I’m gonna be able to read like this but I think it is also due to the remarkable books that it was given to me. I LOVE THEM ALL.
Here is my January Wrap-up: 6 BOOKS (1 audiobook, 1arc, 1 e-book, 3 paperback)
A MONSTER CALLS by Patrick Ness ⭐⭐⭐⭐
I have already read this book last year and I fell in love with Patrick Ness, so when my goodreads timeline was flood with A Monster Calls reviews I couldn’t resist and I decided enjoy this story again through an audiobook and let me tell you that Jason Isaac’s voice is so incredible. So I heard the story with Lucius Malfoy as a narrator.
