(PLOT BY GR)The fourth and final installment in the spellbinding series from the irrepressible, #1 New York Times bestselling author Maggie Stiefvater. All her life, Blue has been warned that she will cause her true love’s death. She doesn’t believe in true love and never thought this would be a problem, but as her life becomes caught up in the strange and sinister world of the Raven Boys, she’s not so sure anymore. In a starred review for Blue Lily, Lily Blue, Kirkus Reviews declared: “Expect this truly one-of-a-kind series to come to a thundering close.”

THIS IS TOTALLY SPOILER FREE, no matter if you didn’t have start this serie yet. THERE ARE NO SPOILERS.

First goal of this reading year: finish most of the series that I have started in the past. So in this first month I forced myself to finish Raven Cycle: I had just one book to finish this peculiar serie so it was an easy accomplishment.

I am feeling like the BLACK SHEEP of the book community when we talk about this serie. I tried guys, I really tried but something just didn’t really work out with this world and I.
I didn’t have a true connection with this world and its characters.
I connected A LOT with RONAN LYNCH, he was the first (and almost only) character whom I care about and a bit about Adam too, but I don’t have any kind of emphasize with Blue and Gansey — I mean I supposed to care about them, the story kind of started because of them; they should be THE SHIP. Plus, Blue is the only female MC. But I have literally ZERO CONNECTION with them. It also might be because the story doesn’t really follow their relationship. I DON’T KNOW GUYS but I feel like something it’s missing in this book. I felt like a lot of things I was reading didn’t really matter and the last part of the book was so rush in order to reach the ending.

In conclusion, I think that this is one of the most ORIGINAL serie that I have read in these last years but it’s missing something. This might just me. But I think there was a lot more for these characters and the story could have been told a lot better and deeper if the author would have focused more on Blue and The Raven Boys: I totally missed the moment Gansey and Blue fell in love with each other. When did it happen? How their relationship grow? I wanted a deeper Gansey/Ronan’s relationship. I want more.
And, I think this is gonna be shared with the rest of the fandom, I want more PYNCH: I want to read more about Ronan and Adam. GIVE ME MORE. So I want more. I wasn’t completely satisfied with this serie.

“Was Ronan even human? Half a dreamer, half a dream, maker of ravens and hoofed girls and entire lands.”
