Ten Underrated/Hidden Gem Books I’ve Read In The Past Year Or So

So I have read like 50 books on 2016 and it wasn’t a really bad year of reading, so I hope I can find 10 books who were really underrated. Premise: I want put ACOTAR/ACOMAF even if I loved them because I think there are more overrated than underrated. So here we go..

1. More happy than not by Adam Silvera — The book tells the story of Aaron, a 16 years old boy who is looking for happiness after his father’s suicide. More happy than not is about acceptance. (review here)
2. Under rose tainted skies by Louise Gornall — URTS tells the story of Norah who has agoraphobia and OCD. All the story has placed in the house. (review here)
3. Am I normal yet? by Holly Bourne — Tells the story of Evie who is dealing with OCD while trying to live her life. It’s a book about friendship and feminism. One of my favourite book EVER! (review here)

5. One by Sarah Crossan — It’s the story of Grace and Tippi, two conjoined twins, told through poem. It’s so heartbreaking and real. (review here)
6. Breathe by Sarah Crossan — A dystopic story about how can the human race survive without oxygen? This book is as underrated as much as our global warming problem. Read it and become more aware of it. (review here)
7. The rest of us just live here by Patrick Ness — It’s a story very different from the usual: it’s about the NOT chosen ones, it’s about the characters who used to be on the background of the story. Until they’re not. (review here)

9. Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff — It’s a unique scifi adventure experience: a story told through files, chats, pictures and other documents. (review here)
10. Beautiful Broken Things by Sara Barnard — An honest story about female friendship and mental health.
